Found & DNA-Tested Birth Families
by The Roots of Love

The following list includes birth families added by The Roots of Love. Please note that the information displayed is what has been provided to us by the birth families; your information may not match exactly. To date, Nanchang Project and Roots of Love have assisted in over 30 DNA matches — the majority of which occurred prior to this spreadsheet’s creation, so they are not displayed below.

Update 9/24: MyTaproot shut down all services on May 31st. Roots of Love has been working towards migrating all of the parents in MyTaproot to another STR/CODIS-compatible database that does free matching. We will post more updates as we finalize these plans, so please follow us on Facebook or Instagram. In the meantime, we recommend you ensure you have a copy of your STR/CODIS-type DNA report from LabCorp or other lab you used. Additionally, some of the families will be retested with 23mofang, a Chinese autosomal company, and uploaded to GEDmatch. If you have done 23andMe or AncestryDNA, you should also download your raw data file and upload to GEDmatch. Roots of Love recently added the 23mofang DNA test option for birth relatives earlier this year. As we finish processing their data, this spreadsheet will be updated to reflect which database has each family’s DNA.
